Where a visa run works

Every country and territory is coloured by what happens when you leave and come back on your passport: a stay counted per entry, a yearly cap, a rolling limit that never resets, or an online visa you must get first. Tap a country for its rules.

Best bets: the longest stays that start again when you come back

How to read this

The visa-run label comes from the rule text: "in a period of 180 days" means a rolling limit, a calendar-year or 12-month limit means a yearly cap, and a stay with neither is "per entry, no cap listed". That last label means no cap was found, not that one is ruled out.

With more than one passport, each country shows the best result any of them gets: visa-free first, then visa on arrival, ETA, eVisa and visa. When two passports get the same kind of entry, the longer stay wins. The country panel lists what your other passports get.
